Do you recommend sizing up or down?
Always size up. Ponchos are designed for a relaxed fit. We have dozens of photo reviews you can also use to guesstimate your pups size. Our size chart is pretty accurate in regards to weigh allowances, but if you want a more exact read, use the “chest girth” and “back length” measurements as well. NEVER force a poncho on your dog and always double check under their armpits to make sure they have full range of motion.

For surprise pattern ponchos, can I request a specific color?
Please reach out and we will happily show you available choices. Because we work with recycled fibers and depend on the base colors available to craft every pattern, we have limited availability, but we will certainly try our best to find a perfect match for you. What happens if the poncho doesn't fit?
We want you and your pup to be 100% satisfied with every purchase. Size exchanges are fast and easy, to be eligible for an exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unwashed, and with tags. To start your online exchange/return please click here.

If you purchased the free returns policy for store credit + exchange protection at the original time of checkout, there is no cost to return the package. You will be able to submit a return for store credit or exchange and receive a pre-paid label through our returns center.

If you did not purchase the free return + exchange protection policy at the original time of checkout, shipping charges associated with sending the item back to us will be your responsibility. Read more about our exchange policy here.

Are the ponchos warm?
Yes! The inside of our ponchos is felted, so it will keep your puppy warm when needed. Lots of pupstomers say it’s like wearing a soft blanket. The design is also pretty airy, so it can be comfortably used after a cool beach session or a bath to help dry your pup. Whenever your dog wears clothes, please supervise and verify temperature is appropriate to avoid overheating.

Do dogs really get cold?
Just like their owners, dogs can get cold. Smaller dogs, as well as dogs with short coats, will feel the cold more sharply than larger dogs or breeds with thick coats. Likewise, senior dogs are more likely to suffer adverse effects from the cold than younger dogs.

Can I machine wash ponchos?
You can hand wash or machine wash your puppy ponchos. We thoroughly recommend air drying rather than machine drying just in case.

Do ponchos shrink?
Nope.

Where are the ponchos made?
Our ponchos are designed in San Diego, California. We collaborate with local artisans in Mexico who use traditional methods and recycled fibers to craft each piece.
